The government has been called to action a faster settlement of personal injury claims.

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has said that the system is so slow that it takes a motor injury claim over 730 days to settle and workplace claims over 3 years to settle. The ABI belelieve that with the implementation of the new system it would take 1/4 of the time to deal with the claim.

Most of the time is taken up after you approach a lawyer / soliciter. They do alot of “unnecessary” research as the director general of the ABI states. The claim is then put forward to the insurance company.
