Poverty is something that is surprisingly rather popular. Across the world, there are poverty stricken people and families. This is mainly due to finance, or rather poor finance. Drugs and alcohol abuse never help financial situations, as with the current recession, drug dealers can pretty much name their price and addicts most usually accept to help get their fix.

Not only is it drug abuse, but theft or tragedy s can bring about poverty. Flooding, war struggles and other natural disasters can leave people stranded and homeless. The government helps tackle this by providing shelters for poverty stricken individuals to live in, which in turn, helps keep them off the street.
