A Fool and His Money

I was sat at my workstation late yesterday afternoon  in the middle of a major deal. I was to offer something at a reduced price and the offer was limited till in the end of the day. A big deal is good for the business and also good for my bank balance so there I was half hour until the end of the day and just about to send the offer through to my client but suddenly the network had gone down. By the time the network was working again the client had gone home!

This makes me wonder as to how much money businesses lose due to internal networking issues. Something very simple costing up to thousands in lost revenue. I think all businesses should have a strategy to deal with situations such as these as every company I have worked for has had major network issues.
