How to stay focused
Posted on August 29th, 2008 by Ahmed
For most people, trying to multi-task leads to a lack of focus. And so, it’s best to take on task one by one rather than everything together or bits of each moving round. Why? When working on a specific task, it takes some time to get into it fully and if your move between each task, you will never complete them with ease and at a good level.
See my previous post on timesheets for more information on time management.
Of course, at times, it’s also productive to multitask (I always do…), but not always. This is the fools dream…
Here are some extra tips to keep you focused:
- Keep your desk clean
- Get a good chair
- Use shortcuts on the computer
- Don’t check personal emails in the morning
- Use time boxing
