Home + Credit Crunch + Bathroom = $$$

Just a few days ago, I was talking about the credit crunch with one of my good friends who mentioned that house prices are going to fall by up to 40% in the next 6 months. Ok, I think 40% is going a bit far but one thing is for sure that house prices will be falling.

Now, this is going to be a very tough on a lot of people.

I have mentioned in previous posts as to what you can do to increase your house value. One method is to renovate your bathroom.

The bathroom, I’m sure you’ll agree, is one of the most important places in a person’s home and renovating it will increase your house value by quite a bit.

A lot of research has taken place and it has been proven that by renovating your bathroom will, 100%, if done right, add value to your property.

And the cost? It’s only a refurbishment, nothing major and so it’s not going to cost you too much. About £10,000 – £15,000 spent on a bathroom renovation will increase the value of your property by a large sum – especially during the downfall of house prices.

And think about this. The credit crunch may decrease the value of you home but not only this, it will lighten the price of a renovation! Bathroom items will be much less and so, looking on the bright side, the credit crunch may not be such a bad thing after all…
