eBay lowers workforce by 1,000
Yes, that’s 10% of their workforce. eBay have some big plans ahead for the next few years. It is their plan to streamline the business into something more economical.
Not only this, but there are many more temporary workers at risk. They sidetracked this statement by announcing there purchase of the online payment site – Bill Me Later. And further, the acquisition of two big Danish classifed advertising websites.
Are they being the fool and thinking they can do anything? They are also paying about £200m pounds for dba.dk and a vehicle site bilbasen.dk.
A lot of companies have taken this route – And look at their end. You might say “but it’s eBay! What can happened to them?” – Well? Look at what happening to Microsoft, they have had to reconsider a lot of their plans…
