Buy a small car for a year or two

During the recession and credit cruch, it could be a wise move to buy a small engine car. Out of a 1 litre Polo or  Clio, you get approx 100 miles out of £10 worth of petrol (This is of course, at the current price of £1 for 0.99 litre’s) and out of a 2 litre, you get about 50-70 miles for the same amount.

I know these figures will be very different for many but on an average, this should be fine.

So, if you travel about 10000 miles in a year, then adding the costs up for a small engine car could lead to a huge saving!
