Barclays Bank to cut overdraft charges
Posted on May 30th, 2008 by Michael
Customers of Barclays used to pay up to £35 a day if any transactions were made beyond the overdraft limit. The penalty will be reduced to £8 for each transaction if in the “red zone”.
This change is going to be occurring in August just as banks prepare to appear in a High Court case to defend the fairness of their overdraft charges.
A temporary overdraft extension is also available for £22.
