A Fool and His Money

Under new proposal from the FSA , banks could be compared with each other in terms of quality in a league table. The watchdog is considering showing customers how many complaints each bank gets and how they are resolved.

The National Consumer Council has responded positively to the announcement of a complaints table but the British Bankers Association believes that this will only name and shame banks.

This will ensure that banks compete in terms of quality and not just price.

The FSA is expected to make a decision by the end of August.
